Registered Provisional Psychologist (pending full registration June 1, 2024) with Positive Reviews and demonstrated outcomes. Specializes with children, Youth, Families also works with Individuals in trauma as an EMDR specialist with teens and adults as well.

I work with individuals, children and families. I have supported children, youth and their families navigating challenges of anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, trauma, abuse, and more. I have a strong background in child development and also integrate play based therapeutic modalities. Working together, I strive to empower individuals and families to recognize and work towards goals that better their lives by adding meaning and giving purposeful direction. As a parent of children that have benefited from accessing mental health supports to overcome difficulties, I enjoy the process of working side-by-side with family members to create lasting change.

I work from a client-centered, attachment-based approach that focusses on the individual and their relationships with others, their environment, and themselves. I work from a number of different therapeutic approaches including mindfulness-based practices, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, solution focused approaches, self-compassion, and play-based interventions. I have experience in facilitating psycho-educational and therapeutic groups for children, youth, and caregivers to serve clients as part of a collective that offers a different approach than that of individual counselling.

Every person deserves to be heard, respected, and feel connection that they can carry into their everyday lives and larger community. I work to create an environment that is warm and safe for each individual to foster their growth and progress.

Debbie’s services are covered under extended health care and we direct bill Blue Cross, Medavie Blue Cross, Greenshield and ETelus Health providers such as Canada Life

Kelsey provides Reduced Rates Counselling. My name is Kelsey, I am a Counselling Intern working with children using play therapy, teens and with adults. Previously, I have worked as a Child and Youth Counselor at a treatment center for high-risk youth. I worked in that therapeutic setting for 5 years. I learned about the impacts of trauma and mental health on the brain. I have supported children and youth who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, abuse, grief and loss and helped them learn new skills to help them manage their daily tasks. My passion is to work with children and youth to help provide a safe place where they can tell their story.

I have also worked for the Ministry of Children and Family Development where I learned about how to work with a family. I have enjoyed working with families and look forward to working with them again. All families are unique therefore the journey for the family to become a stronger unit is unique. When I work with a family, I believe everyone deserves a space to be heard and respected in order to work towards everlasting change.

I will build my practice from a client center approach with an attachment-based approach with youth and adults and a play therapy approach for children under 10 years. I will use this practicum to explore different therapeutic approach like Cognitive Behavior Therapy, solution focused approaches, play therapy and EMDR. I’m looking forward to creating and growing my own approach through the experience of the professionals around me.

I believe that everyone deserves to feel validated and heard. Working with the individual or family to build on the connection to help them create the confidence they need for growth. Growth is a process and therefore, I want to provide a judgment-free space which allows you to speak openly and honestly. I will work to create an inviting space to foster this. I’m looking forward to meeting you!
