Tania is Senior Therapist helping individuals with Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Mood Disorders, Marital Conflicts, Grief and Loss, Work Related Matters, Trauma and Addictions with Direct billing to most medical plans.
I have sixteen years of experience supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, stress, mood disorders, marital conflicts, work relationship conflicts, and other issues. I take a compassionate, client-focused approach. Each individual or family has special circumstances and a unique situation—I follow my client’s lead and help them achieve their full potential in their unique situation. I believe in mindfulness, which ignites our hidden strengths and makes the wheels go around in our relationships, work, and social connections. I am aware that heuristics or a set of standard rules do not apply to everyone’s situation. I carefully analyze each case without presumptions, explore the dark corners that are useful but may have been unattended, and provide recommendations to suit the unique needs of each client. I work with a diverse range of individuals, couples, and families, and I am committed to helping clients live more fulfilling and meaningful lives. Building long-term therapeutic relationships is central to my practice, as I work to empower individuals to become their best selves possible. I am passionate about helping individuals struggling with mental health issues. I use evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) to help clients deal with dysfunctional belief systems, build resilience, and improve their overall quality of life. While working with couples, I try to focus on their attachment styles that usually form during childhood. Our childhood attachment styles can resurface in our adult relationships and cause communication problems. With proper insight, guidance, and targeted intervention, couples can reshape their attachment patterns and experience happier, healthier, and more connected relationships.. Is it becoming harder to face life expectations related to getting married, having children, or buying a home? Is belonging to a particular social or economic bracket holding you from advancing in your life?
Managing the social and familial expectations between two cultures is overwhelming and can leave you feeling defeated, unsure about your future, and make you feel like giving up.
As a second-generation South Asian-Canadian, my lived experience of having navigated the values and norms of two distinct cultures uniquely positions my insight into the struggles and inner conflict silently endured.
Life transitions, casteism, colourism, dating as a South Asian, separation and/or divorce, infertility, grief, depression, and anxiety are my areas of counselling focus.
In your session with me, we will together take apart your story one event, one emotion, one thought at a time. Currently, my approach aligns with methods used in the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Find your voice, one story at a time.
As a Registered Provisional Psychologist Deepak’s fees are covered by Health Care plans, but we can only direct bill Alberta Blue Cross, Medavie Blue Cross, Greenshield and Sunlife.

David (Andrew) Saliba Psychotherapist/Canadian Certified Counsellor
Andrew is a Psychotherapist Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) Master of Arts in Counselling Registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA)
If you’ve been feeling anxious, depressed, alone, angry, or overwhelmed, it may be affecting you in your personal or professional life. Perhaps it feels like something is just off, or just you aren’t feeling as good as you’d like. Problems like these can be difficult to pin-point. Can you relate to any of these: feeling low, loss of interest, lack of energy, less self-confidence, a sense of guilt, difficulty concentrating, restlessness, trouble sleeping, or changes in appetite? Perhaps it would just be nice to get to the bottom of things so you can feel less disconnected, less alone, or less on edge.
What you can expect in working with me:
My clients see growth or change happen at different paces. I believe it is important to keep an end-goal in mind with milestones along the way, however progression is different for everyone. The journey of healing or change may begin here and continue on once certain groundwork is in place. I facilitate the process, support you, and keep us on track along the way.
My qualifications:
I have two Master’s degrees, one in Counselling Psychology and the other in Religious Studies. In addition to my Masters degree, I have received training in Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and The Gottman Method Couples Therapy (L1). Most recently, I completed the NeuroChange Professional Certification Program which draws on emerging therapies such as Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) and Attachment-based therapy as well as experiential therapies such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).
The types of issues I work with:
I work with clients who are interested in seeing change in their lives and/or are feeling low, a loss of interest, a lack of energy, less self-confidence, a sense of guilt, difficulty concentrating, restlessness, trouble sleeping, or changes in their appetite. I also work with clients who are experiencing a sense of loss, grief, strong anger, depression, anxiety, and/or relationship challenges.
Why I became a counsellor:
Personally, my journey has been neither easy nor straightforward. Although these circumstances felt like set-backs, they caused me to ask many of life’s tough questions. They ultimately led me to begin my own journey with therapy and are a significant factor in why I became a counsellor. The challenges I’ve experienced have led me to cultivate greater self-awareness, find stability, and form deeper compassion for others in need. One of the reasons I became a counsellor is to bring to others the same understanding, validation, and expertise that helped me navigate difficult life circumstances, to cultivate a greater degree of awareness of my emotional world, and see many positive changes as a result.
How you can get started:
Maybe you’d like to begin working on some things, but aren’t sure where to start. I welcome you to book a session where I can begin to get to know you and what you’re needing help with or wanting to work on. Everyone needs a safe place to share, to process, and to seek healing. I look forward to connecting with you.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, going for walks, calisthenics, reading, meeting friends for coffee, and watching movies (usually a drama!).
